What this notice covers

This Cookie Notice explains how PropoKit uses cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, and similar browser technologies on our website and app. These technologies help PropoKit remember preferences, protect account access, operate product features, measure site usage where allowed, and improve reliability.

This notice works together with the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

What cookies and browser storage are

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Browser storage can also save small pieces of information inside your browser. PropoKit uses these tools for things like sign-in, preferences, account safety, product features, analytics where allowed, and troubleshooting.

Plain language: some storage is necessary for PropoKit to work. Optional analytics follow your consent choice where available.

Necessary storage

Necessary storage is used to operate PropoKit and cannot always be turned off through PropoKit's Cookie Settings without affecting the service.

  • Sign-in and account access.
  • Account protection and abuse prevention.
  • Safe sign-in checks.
  • Protected route behavior.
  • Billing and account access state.
  • Cookie preference storage.
  • Public proposal view functionality.
  • Account safety flows such as export and deletion.
  • Basic site navigation and form behavior.
Important: if necessary storage is blocked in your browser, PropoKit may not work correctly.

Consent preference storage

PropoKit may store your cookie and analytics preference so we know whether analytics is accepted or rejected.

Example storage key

propokit_consent_preferences_v1

Purpose

Remembers whether analytics is accepted or rejected, when the preference was updated, and the consent version.

Type

Necessary / preference.

Retention

Stored in your browser until cleared, changed, or replaced by a later consent version.

Product analytics

PropoKit may use product analytics to understand basic site and product usage, page behavior, performance, errors, and reliability. In the current consent model, product analytics wait for analytics consent.

Storage example

propokit-telemetry-session-id

Purpose

Helps connect basic analytics events during a browser session after analytics consent is granted.

Important: optional analytics should not be created before analytics consent.

Approved website analytics tools

Google Analytics tags may load only on approved public website pages under Consent Mode. Before consent, analytics and ad storage remain denied, and Google Analytics may send limited cookieless, aggregate measurement pings. Accepting analytics enables additional analytics storage and more detailed reporting on those approved pages.

Microsoft Clarity remains consent-only: it loads only after analytics consent and only on approved public website pages. Neither Google Analytics nor Microsoft Clarity runs on the private app, billing, account-safety, export, delete, or proposal-view surfaces.

Approved v1 surfaces

  • Homepage.
  • Product pages.
  • Pricing pages.
  • Support or marketing pages where approved.

Blocked v1 surfaces

  • Dashboard.
  • Billing.
  • Account deletion.
  • Data export.
  • Public proposal view.
  • Auth pages.
  • Account safety flows.
  • Private proposal, customer, and project surfaces.

Optional website analytics do not run on private app or account-safety surfaces.

Browser diagnostics and error monitoring

PropoKit may use browser diagnostics, error monitoring, or performance monitoring tools to help understand errors, speed, and reliability. These are reliability/diagnostics tools, separate from the optional website analytics tools above, and they may operate on the signed-in workspace app (not just public pages). They should be configured to avoid unnecessary private data, tokens, passwords, payment details, QuickBooks credentials, export links, delete links, or proposal/customer content.

Examples include Sentry (error monitoring) and Firebase Performance Monitoring (Google LLC), if enabled. Firebase Performance is used on the signed-in workspace to measure timing only — page-load and key workflow durations such as opening the product library or generating a proposal — using custom duration measurements. Automatic network-request capture is disabled, so no request URLs, request bodies, proposal content, or customer content are sent; only anonymous timing measurements. These diagnostics tools should not be listed as active unless actually enabled, and they stay off the public proposal view, billing, export, delete, and account-safety surfaces.

Advertising and marketing tags

PropoKit has used Google Ads for customer acquisition; paid campaign delivery is currently paused. Google Analytics 4 records start_trial_click as landing or CTA intent and sign_up only after Firebase confirms a newly created account. Email/password accounts count only after email verification; Google and Microsoft accounts count only when Firebase reports a new federated user. The signup event includes the sign-in method category and does not include the account email, name, or user ID. The sign_up event is not yet a proven primary Google Ads import, and no campaign should restart until that proof is complete. PropoKit does not install a separate Google Ads gtag, remarketing pixel, Meta Pixel, or similar on-site marketing tag today.

On approved public website pages, Google Consent Mode may send limited cookieless signals while analytics and ad storage remain denied. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics may send additional interaction data that the linked Google Ads property can use for reporting and campaign optimization.

Ad traffic may land on https://propokit.com/?intent=start_trial so the intent event can be measured consistently. If PropoKit adds standalone remarketing or third-party ad pixels later, the Cookie Notice, Privacy Policy, consent behavior, and Subprocessors page will be updated before those tags are used.

Third-party services

Some PropoKit features rely on third-party service providers. These providers may use cookies or storage as needed to operate their services, process payments, support sign-in, send emails, support analytics, or run connected workflows.

  • Firebase / Google Cloud for hosting, authentication, database, storage, and app infrastructure.
  • Stripe for payment and subscription processing.
  • Intuit / QuickBooks for connected accounting workflows when authorized.
  • Resend or another email provider for transactional emails.
  • Microsoft Clarity if analytics consent is accepted and Clarity is enabled, on approved public website pages only.
  • Google Analytics (Google LLC) on approved public website pages under Consent Mode; storage remains denied before consent, although limited cookieless aggregate pings may be sent.
  • Google Ads (Google LLC) for linked campaign reporting; paid campaign delivery is paused, and there is no standalone Google Ads pixel.
  • Sentry or similar diagnostics if enabled.
  • Firebase Performance Monitoring (Google LLC) timing diagnostics on the signed-in workspace if enabled.

QuickBooks and cookies

QuickBooks remains the accounting system of record. If you connect QuickBooks, Intuit may use its own cookies, storage, and account systems when you interact with QuickBooks or authorize a connection. Your use of QuickBooks is governed by Intuit's own terms and privacy policies.

Important: do not send QuickBooks login credentials to PropoKit Support.

Stripe and billing

Billing and payment flows may use Stripe or another approved payment provider. Payment pages, checkout, billing portal, fraud prevention, and subscription management may rely on cookies or storage controlled by the payment provider.

Important: PropoKit should not store full payment card numbers. Payment card information is handled by the payment processor.

What happens if you reject analytics

If you reject analytics, PropoKit should keep analytics cookies, identifiers, and session-recording tools blocked. On approved public website pages, Google Analytics tags may continue in Consent Mode with analytics and ad storage denied, limited to cookieless, aggregate measurement pings. Microsoft Clarity stays off. The website and app should still work for necessary product functions.

Still works

  • Browsing public pages.
  • Signing in.
  • Using necessary account features.
  • Billing and account access.
  • Public proposal views.
  • Account deletion and export flows.
  • Cookie Settings.

Blocked

  • Analytics cookies and persistent identifiers.
  • Session-recording tools on public pages.
  • Marketing tags if not separately approved.

What happens if you accept analytics

If you accept analytics, PropoKit may enable additional analytics storage and more detailed reporting on approved public pages, and may load Microsoft Clarity there if enabled. Analytics should not override private-surface protections.

Allowed

  • Product analytics where approved.
  • Approved analytics tools on public marketing pages if enabled.
  • Basic website usage analytics.

Still blocked

  • Optional analytics on dashboard.
  • Optional analytics on Billing.
  • Optional analytics on account deletion.
  • Optional analytics on public proposal view.
  • Optional analytics on export/delete/account-safety surfaces.
  • Private customer, proposal, billing, QuickBooks, and account data recording.

Browser controls

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data. If you block all cookies or browser storage, some PropoKit features may not work correctly, including sign-in, account access, preference storage, or product workflows.
